I want to thank all the teams that have participated in ORSS hosted tournaments the first half of the 2010 Season. Our tournaments have been successful due to your support and loyalty to ORSS and Top Gun and we sincerely appreciate it. Our next event will be hosted at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex, August 21-22. This is a Top Gun tournament that not only offers great baseball, but, also free Top Gun Championship Hats to the winners in all skill brackets of each age group. Outdoor Recreation & Sports Services (ORSS) is excited to announce our partnership with the American Poolplayers Association (APA) to begin providing fun and competitive Billiard League play in Nash, Wilson, Edgecombe and Pitt Counties. This program is geared toward players of beginner skill as well as the more skilled player. APA utilizes the Equalizer handicapping system to make all participants competitive, regardless of their skill level. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in the playing in this internationally supported Billiard program, talk with Ray Stallings this weekend, call me at 252-908-2994, or e-mail me at raystallings@orss.net.
New information for the Rocky Mount Sports Complex: Parking is not allowed in the area between the two Hubs. Any vehicle parked in this area is subject to be towed at the owners expense, so please park in the paved parking lot area only. Your co-operation is appreciated, as we want your experience at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex to be as pleasant as possible. Also, beginning in 2010, metal cleats will no longer be allowed for pitchers who are throwing off the temporary mounds.

Outdoor Recreation and Sports Services is dedicated to conducting quality baseball tournaments. We offer excellent facilities in an ideal easy-to-access location, with many lodging and dining options nearby. We provide well trained and experienced umpires to promote a competitive, sportsmanlike environment.

Location	Umpires
We utilize the Rocky Mount Sports Complex (RMSC), owned and operated by the city of Rocky Mount, NC. The Complex is located just off Highway 64 with 4-lane access all the way from Virginia (1 hour) to South Carolina (2 hours) on I-95 and less than an hour from the greater Raleigh area. There is also a wide variety of options for lodging, entertainment, and restaurants within minutes of the Complex.	Our umpire crew is one of the best available in North Carolina. Provided and coordinated by Eastern Plains Athletic Association (EPAA), all umpires are certified for high school, showcase, and impact baseball levels of competition and many are approved for NCAA baseball officiating.

Facilities	Administration
The 143 acre complex is home to a total of 11 ball fields, eliminating the hassles of moving from one area of a city to another to play games. One hub includes 6 youth fields, all with grass infields. The second hub, adjacent to the youth fields, has 4 interchangeable baseball/softball fields and a championship baseball field. Each hub has its own concession stand and restroom facilities. The facilities are maintained year-round by the City of Rocky Mount.	ORSS is the host of all Top Gun Sports baseball sanctioned events at the Complex. We are also hosting inaugural baseball events with wood bats and recreational All Star tournaments in 2009. We have a great working relationship with the City of Rocky Mount and the Complex staff, as well as local motels and other businesses. We are the only local administrators of tournament baseball at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex and make it a priority for you to have a pleasant and enjoyable experience while visiting.
